Hayley Mills

She made her off-Broadway debut in Noel Coward's Suite in Two Keys in 2000. She currently lives in New York with her husband and two children. Mills has starred in many shows and plays since, more notably as a teacher in Saved By The Bell, and as Miss Anna Leonowens in the British production of The King and I. Olin received immense critical acclaim for her part in Alias, and was rumored to have been offered a salary upwards of $100,000 per episode to remain part of the cast. She left the show after her first season, however, reportedly to spend more time with her family. Her second son, Jason Lawson, is the product of a 70's relationship with actor Leigh Lawson. From 2002 to 2003, Olin appeared opposite Jennifer Garner in the American television series Alias. For her role in the series as Irina Derevko/Laura Bristow, she received an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in 2003. Crispian later became a singer with the band Kula Shaker and is now front man for The Jeevas. In 1994, she married Lasse Hallström, a film director with whom she worked in 2000 in Chocolat, giving one of the best perfomances of her career.

They had a child, named Crispian Mills, and divorced in 1977. Her first spouse was Örjan Ramberg, from whom she divorced. In 1971, she married Roy Boulting, who was many years older than her. Olin married twice. She also acted in the film Kes, directed by Ken Loach (1969). She appears in many different plays, from classic to contemporary. Other Disney films in which she appeared included In Search of the Castaways, Summer Magic and That Darn Cat!. Olin is today a prominent member of the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm, where she began her career as young actress.

She played a pair of twins who reunite their parents after a long time, and her acting earned her a special Oscar. In 1989, she earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress Enemies: A Love Story, in which she portrayed the survivor of a Nazi camp. Walt Disney's wife loved her acting, and so she was contacted to participate in the Disney film The Parent Trap. In 1988, she played in her first American film opposite Daniel Day-Lewis, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, and became a well-known and respected actress. Her Aunt and all the townspeople's lives were changed including the Pastor of the church played by Karl Malden. The year before she had appeared in the Swedish film Fanny and Alexander, also directed by Bergman. Hayley starred in the Disney Classic, Pollyanna, a story about a young girl who moves in with her Aunt. Olin's international debut in an English-spoken film, again directed by Bergman, was in 1984 in After the Rehearsal.

She went on to take the lead in several other films, notably Whistle Down the Wind (1961). Later she acted at the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm, directed by Bergman. Lee Thompson, who was looking for a boy to play the lead role in Tiger Bay. It was he who casted her for the first time, after she had not passed her first audition because of her shyness. After studying acting at the drama school of the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm, Olin performed on stage classic plays of Shakespeare and Ibsen and appeared in smaller roles of several Swedish films directed by Bergman. She is the sister of actress Juliet Mills, who has a character in the soap opera Passions, and director Jonathan Mills. Her father was also an actor and had appeared in several of Ingmar Bergman's films.
