Harry Morgan (born April 10, 1915, Detroit, Michigan) is an American television actor. He is best known as Colonel Sherman Potter on M*A*S*H. He was also Bill Gannon, Joe Friday's partner, on Dragnet, Pete in "Pete and Gladys" and the judge in Inherit the Wind.

Phillips' big break came with the starring role in 1987's La Bamba as doomed early rocker Ritchie Valens.

He is an alumnus of University of Texas at Arlington. Phillips worked as an assistant director and instructor at the University of Texas, where he also studied Drama and Film Technique, between 1983-1986. He has Filipino, Hawaiian, Chinese, Spanish, Scotch-Irish and eighth Cherokee Indian origins.
