She found success in Hollywood in a variety of character roles and was most frequently cast as a disapproving, aristocratic society woman. Doig recalls the time she heard the news of this role: "I walked out of the audition absolutely convinced I had blown it, and then my agent called to tell me I got the part. Tanqueray. Her first significant role was on William Shatner's series TekWar. She was born in London and made her stage début in 1905. It was not until 1922, however, that she found major success, in Pinero's The Second Mrs. She worked on stage productions of Romeo and Juliet and Arsenic and Old Lace while auditioning for film and television roles. Gladys Constance Cooper (December 18, 1888 - November 17, 1971) was an English actress, created a Dame (DBE) for her services to the theatre. She did commercials and modelling work, before dropping out of high school during her final year to pursue an acting career.
