Her first daughter is now a chef who has been on Despierta America. In addition to her career as an actress she is also a writer, having co-written with her third husband Mark Levinson the book Satisfaction: The Art of the Female Orgasm. Cattrall was previously wed to Larry Davis and Andre Lusonin. However, in 1998, her career took off internationally when she was given the opportunity to co-host Univision's show Despierta America alongside Raul Gonzalez, Fernando Arau, Ana Maria Canseco, Neyda Sandoval and occasional host Samy, the famous Cuban hair-dresser and television personality. After divorcing Trucco, she has remained single, and she says she wants to dedicate her free time to her kids only. This character and several others she has portrayed are known for being sexually-open women. But this relationship also ran into trouble and they divorced in the middle 1990s. Cattrall is better known for her work as "Samantha Jones" in Sex and the City. In 1989, she married producer Harold Trucco, and they had a son and a daughter. Subsequently she starred in the first Police Academy film in 1984, and in the first Mannequin in 1987.

In 1987, her romance with actor Raul Rosado was well publicized. Cattrall starred in a handful of films during the 1970s, but her first taste of international fame came in 1981 when she participated in the first Porky's film. Blondet spent the rest of the '80s participating in different tv shows, soap operas and mini-series, as well as in some theatre plays. In 1981, at age 25, she briefly dated the recently-divorced Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau. She divorced Abreu in 1982, and by then, magazines such as Vea, Teve Guia, etc etc, started talking of a supposed rivalty between her and Millie Aviles, another young, Puerto Rican actress who resembled Blondet pshysically. When she was 16, she moved to New York where she studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Art. In 1981, she married the famous Bolivian actor Luis Abreu, with whom she had no children. At the age of 3 months, Cattrall and her family moved across the Atlantic Ocean to Canada, eventually settling for a time in Nanaimo, BC.
