Geraldine Page (November 22, 1924 - June 13, 1987) was an American actress. Born in Kirksville, Missouri, she was known more as a Broadway actress than as a Hollywood star. Her first movie role, in Hondo, garnered her a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. In all, despite her relatively small filmography, Page received eight Academy Award nominations.

Page was married to actor Rip Torn from 1961 until her death.

Page was married to actor Rip Torn from 1961 until her death. She has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6300 Hollywood Blvd. In all, despite her relatively small filmography, Page received eight Academy Award nominations. Later in life she took a role in The Gambler (1997). Her first movie role, in Hondo, garnered her a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. She stopped making films altogether after Hostages in 1943, although she did appear in a single episode of the World War II television series Combat, and even took a dual role in an episode of The Love Boat. Born in Kirksville, Missouri, she was known more as a Broadway actress than as a Hollywood star. Refusing to be stereotyped, or to knuckle under to the studio system, she married playwright Clifford Odets in 1937, but divorced him three years later after a stormy relationship.
