Gary Burghoff

In addition to acting, Burghoff also works as a professional jazz drummer and a wildlife painter. He is the son of Cincinnati news anchor and TV host Nick Clooney, a nephew of actress and singer Rosemary Clooney, and a cousin of actor Miguel Ferrer; another cousin, Gabe Ferrer, is married to Debby Boone. He also played Charlie Brown in the 1967 off-Broadway musical You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Born with a club foot and his left hand deformed, Burghoff uses props to deflect attention: in Charlie Brown he had a baseball glove on that hand most of the time, and in the M*A*S*H television series, he usually had a clipboard in it. He played a handyman on television series The Facts of Life.
