Today, she is the spokeswoman for Polident denture cleanser (although she does not wear dentures herself). Jones is a breast cancer survivor. She was also the spokeswoman for Wesson cooking oil, from 1976 to 1996. She is currently on the board of directors of the Norton Simon Museum. She starred on Broadway in Wish You Were Here (1952), Fanny (1954), and The Girl Who Came to Supper (1963). She subsequently married milionaire industrialist and philanthropist Norton Simon in 1971, and remained married to him until his death in 1993. Henderson started out on the stage, performing in musicals, such as the touring production of Oklahoma! and South Pacific at Lincoln Center. After recovering, Jones became involved in mental health issues.
