Eric Bana

He resides in Melbourne with his family. He is best known as Ritchie Cunningham's father, Howard in the long running sitcom Happy Days but he also portrayed the titular Father Frank Dowling on the TV mystery series, Father Dowling Mysteries. He loves cars and racing and often races in Australia. LaGuardia in the long-running Broadway musical Fiorello! (1959) for which he won a Tony Award. He's married and has a son, Claus, and a daughter, Sophia. His breakthrough stage part was as New York's Mayor Fiorello H. Bana will next be seen in Curtis Hanson's Lucky You, and is reportedly one of several actors under consideration to play James Bond when Pierce Brosnan retires from the role. While attending DePaul University in Chicago in 1947, he made his stage debut in Our Town with the Canterbury Players at the Fine Arts Theatre.

Later, he was the star and/or anchor for two short-running TV shows; the TV show Eric (1996), a sketch comedy show that he wrote, coproduced and starred in, and The Eric Bana Show Live (1997), a variety show. Eric Bana began his career as a comedian, first coming to national attention in the comedy sketch series Full Frontal. He originally dreamed of becoming a car mechanic and tried his hand in odd jobs, including tending bar, where he also did stand-up comedy. He was born Eric Banadinovich on to a German mother and a Croatian father.
