Edie Brickell & New Bohemians were an alternative rock band from Texas in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Best known for their 1988 hit "What I Am" from the album Shooting Rubberbands at the Stars. Combining elements of rock and folk, their sound has been compared to R.E.M., another Southern college radio band of the same era. After their 1990 sophomore effort Ghost of a Dog the Bohemians broke up. Lead singer Edie Brickell married folk singer Paul Simon after leaving the band.

Lead singer Edie Brickell married folk singer Paul Simon after leaving the band. His popularity declined sharply in the late 1980s and 1990s, though; he continued recording, working with legends like Bunny Roots, Josey Wales, Sly & Robbie, Junjo Wales, Roots Radics and Doctor Dread. After their 1990 sophomore effort Ghost of a Dog the Bohemians broke up. Que Dem, produced by George Phang was phenomenally popular, and was one of the most critically acclaimed albums of the time. Combining elements of rock and folk, their sound has been compared to R.E.M., another Southern college radio band of the same era. Happy Chappy's debut albums were This could happen to you and Chaplin Lecture, both major successes in Jamaica. Best known for their 1988 hit "What I Am" from the album Shooting Rubberbands at the Stars. He became extremely popular throughout Scarborough Middle School, memorable for his saying "This could happen to you".
