BiographyCover of "Storm Of The Light's Bane"In 1988, a thrash metal band by the name of Siren's Yell was formed in the Swedish town of Strömstad. Its members were Jon Nödveidt, Ole Öhman, Peter Palmdahl, and Mattias Johansson. The group recorded a single demo before breaking up in 1989. Nödveidt and Öhman continued on to play in the band Rabbit's Carrot, in which they claim to have never felt quite at home (especially Nödveidt). Nödveidt was leaning more and more towards death metal and other forms of dark extreme music. Dissection was officially formed in the autumn of 1989 by Nödveidt, who had since left Rabbit's Carrot. Dissection's line-up, however, was not complete until early the next year. In 1990, Dissection played their first live show with death metal act Entombed. In the same year, they also recorded and released their first demo, The Grief Prophecy. It contained three songs and featured illustrations by the artist known as Necrolord, who has since created nearly all of Dissection's album art. A special edition of The Grief Prophecy was later released in memory of Dead, the former vocalist for the notorious Norwegian black metal group Mayhem, who committed suicide in 1991. The special release featured album art drawn by Dead himself. Dissection also played a live show in his honor, at which they performed the Mayhem song "Freezing Moon". The Grief Prophecy was soon spread through the underground, and the French record label Corpsegrinder Records offered Dissection a deal to record an EP. Later that year, Dissection accepted the deal and recorded Into Infinite Obscurity. The band continued to tour. In 1992, Dissection began work on their first full-length album, The Somberlain. Because of coordination problems between members, the entire band moved to Göteborg, Sweden (where they shared a rehearsal space with At The Gates) in the summer of 1993. The album was finished and released the following December. It was formally dedicated to Euronymous, the then-guitarist of Mayhem, who had been murdered earlier that year. During November of 1994, Dissection signed a record deal with the well-known German label Nuclear Blast. In 1995, the band's second full-length album, called Storm Of The Light's Bane, was released. The following year, Dissection also released a short EP entitled Where Dead Angels Lie. It was compiled from previous rare and import releases, and contained only cover songs and demo tracks. In 1997, Jon Nödtveidt was convicted for helping to murder a 38-year old man in Göteborg. He was released in autumn of 2004. Since then, Nödtveidt has formed a new line-up for Dissection and recorded one 2-track EP entitled Mahi Kali. Currently, Dissection has plans to release a new album. MembersCurrent Members

Currently, Dissection has plans to release a new album. They still perform regularly as a duo around the world. Since then, Nödtveidt has formed a new line-up for Dissection and recorded one 2-track EP entitled Mahi Kali. The Everly Brothers have a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 7000 Hollywood Blvd. He was released in autumn of 2004. In 1986 they were among the first 10 artists inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and they were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2001. In 1997, Jon Nödtveidt was convicted for helping to murder a 38-year old man in Göteborg. The Everly Brothers have had a total of 26 Billboard Top 40 singles. It was compiled from previous rare and import releases, and contained only cover songs and demo tracks. In addition, their approach to harmony singing influenced nearly every rock and roll group of the 1960s. The following year, Dissection also released a short EP entitled Where Dead Angels Lie. With soft, mainly acoustic guitar backing, sweet close-harmony vocals, non-threatening lyrics, and clean-cut white faces, the Everly Brothers were, in their heyday, never perceived as a threat to society, as were performers such as Chuck Berry and Little Richard; they are one of rock and roll music's most important acts because their music, while arguably containing just as much subversion and sexual tension as that of many another group, helped bridge the gap between rock and country music in a way that appealed to fans of both genres. In 1995, the band's second full-length album, called Storm Of The Light's Bane, was released. In short, their mid- and late-'60s material is considered by many critics and listeners to compare favorably to that done by the Beatles and the Byrds. During November of 1994, Dissection signed a record deal with the well-known German label Nuclear Blast. In 1967 they had a hit single, "Bowling Green," and in 1968 they recorded another album now regarded as a classic, Roots, which featured their own compositions alongside songs by Randy Newman and others. It was formally dedicated to Euronymous, the then-guitarist of Mayhem, who had been murdered earlier that year. Following the British Invasion, Everly Brothers recordings like "I'll See Your Light" and "It Only Costs a Dime" (both 1965) began to reflect many of the changes in popular music they had, with their earlier work, put into motion; they recorded, with members of the Hollies contributing songs such as "So Lonely" and "Don't Run and Hide," a classic album entitled Two Yanks in England (1966), at the time somewhat under-appreciated (and currently unavailable on CD) but now considered one of their best efforts. The album was finished and released the following December. Records, they continued to have hits, such as 1960's "Cathy's Clown" and "The Ferris Wheel" (from 1964), but the years after 1962 saw the Everly Brothers become less commercially viable than before even as they became artistically more accomplished. In 1992, Dissection began work on their first full-length album, The Somberlain. Because of coordination problems between members, the entire band moved to Göteborg, Sweden (where they shared a rehearsal space with At The Gates) in the summer of 1993. She later died in a train accident.) Working with the Bryants, the harmonic duo had a number of hits in the USA and the UK, the biggest of which were "Wake Up Little Susie," "(All I Have to Do Is) Dream," and "Bird Dog." In 1960, when they signed with Warner Bros. The band continued to tour. They had a hit with the single "Claudette," written by Roy Orbison (Claudette was the name of Roy's wife. Later that year, Dissection accepted the deal and recorded Into Infinite Obscurity. They soon became known as the stalwarts of Archie Bleyer's Cadence Records label. The Grief Prophecy was soon spread through the underground, and the French record label Corpsegrinder Records offered Dissection a deal to record an EP. The song, written by the songwriting husband and wife team of Felice and Boudleaux Bryant , became their first million-seller. Dissection also played a live show in his honor, at which they performed the Mayhem song "Freezing Moon". However their next single, "Bye Bye Love," (which had been rejected by 30 other acts, including Elvis Presley) became an across-the-board smash, reaching #2 on the pop charts, and #1 on both the Country, and the R & B charts. The special release featured album art drawn by Dead himself. The sons of two Kentucky country musicians, The Everly Brothers recorded their first single, "Keep A' Lovin' Me, " in 1956, under the aegis of Chet Atkins, but it flopped. A special edition of The Grief Prophecy was later released in memory of Dead, the former vocalist for the notorious Norwegian black metal group Mayhem, who committed suicide in 1991. Don (born February 1, 1937 in Brownie, a small coal-mining town (now defunct) near Central City, Muhlenberg County, Kentucky) and Phil Everly (born January 18, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois) are country-influenced rock and roll performers who had their greatest success in the 1950s.
