Debra Winger

She has been married to actors Timothy Hutton and Arliss Howard. He has starred in Quebecois films La Nuit de Noces and Karmina 2, and on the Secret Adventures of Jules Verne television series, on the Sci Fi Channel (United States). Other films include Made in Heaven, Everybody Wins, The Sheltering Sky, Leap of Faith, Black Widow, Wilder Napalm and A Dangerous Woman. He has even inspired a popular one-of-a-kind hardcover comic book. She was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for Terms of Endearment in 1984 and Best Actress for Shadowlands in 1993. Courtemanche has internationally sold out enormous houses usually reserved for rock stars (although such shows are quite common place for comedians in Quebec). In 1982 she starred opposite Richard Gere in An Officer and a Gentleman, for which she was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress. His second, The New Adventures of Michel Courtemanche, filled theatres in both North America and Europe and spawned his second international hit video.

She got her first starring role in Urban Cowboy in 1980, opposite John Travolta. His debut one-man show, A New Comic is Born, ran for more than five hundred performances and earned him two Felix nominations. Her first acting role was as Princess Diana's younger sister Drusilla (Wonder Girl) in the Wonder Woman television series. The Quebecois comedian and actor has drawn hundreds of thousands to his one-man shows in Quebec, France, Belgium & Switzerland. With time on her hands to think about her life, she decided that, if she recovered, she would move to California and become an actress. Michel Courtemanche was born December 11, 1964 in Laval, Quebec. After returning to the United States, she was involved in an automobile accident which left her temporarily paralyzed and blind in one eye.
