He has also been a guest host on Saturday Night Live (May 13, 1995; May 9, 1998). Nowadays, he only works six months out of the year; with the advent of message boards, rumors have spread that he spends these six months in Amsterdam with his gay lover. He also made several guest appearances in the cult TV satire The Larry Sanders Show, playing himself, and he featured memorably in the final episode of the series, performing a parody of Sharon Stone's infamous 'flashing' scene from Basic Instinct. Geary is rumored to be homosexual. Before The X-Files, Duchovny had a memorable recurring role as a transvestite DEA agent on the series Twin Peaks. He also portrayed Luke's twin cousin Bill Eckert on General Hospital from 1991 to 1993.

Their second child, a son, Kyd Miller Duchovny, was born June 15, 2002. The early 1990s saw Luke Spencer in a series of nearly improbable storylines seemingly lifted from the pages of a spy novel, which only served to further the character's popularity. On April 24, 1999 Téa gave birth to a daughter, Madelaine West Duchovny. Spencer and Webber's 1981 wedding began what was arguably the greatest love affair in the history of General Hospital, if not daytime television. He married actoress Téa Leoni on May 6, 1997. The character became so popular that the writers turned Luke Spencer into a protagonist. Duchovny is a graduate of Princeton University and also holds a Master's degree in English Literature from Yale University. Geary's character began as a "hit man" and later as a rapist who fell in love and subsequently married his victim, Laura Webber played by Genie Francis.

Anthony Geary (born May 29, 1947 in Coalville, Utah) is an actor who has starred on the ABC daytime drama General Hospital as Luke Spencer from 1978 to 1984 and from 1993 to present. Duchovny means "spiritual" in Russian (Духовный). He is a vegetarian.
