Darius Rucker

Darius Rucker (born May 13, 1966 in Charleston, South Carolina) is the lead singer of the band Hootie & The Blowfish.

He has also completed two solo albums. In 2001 he made his solo debut album The Return of Mongo Slade for Atlantic Records. Because of contractual changes, it was never released. Rucker then signed with Hidden Beach Recordings and released Back to Then in July 2002.

In March 2005 Darius was spotted doing a Burger King commercial for Tendercrisp Bacon Cheddar Ranch sandwich.

In March 2005 Darius was spotted doing a Burger King commercial for Tendercrisp Bacon Cheddar Ranch sandwich. They had a few other minor hits, including "The Loser" (1965) and "This I Swear". Because of contractual changes, it was never released. Rucker then signed with Hidden Beach Recordings and released Back to Then in July 2002. The Skyliners were an American doo wop group from Pittsburgh fronted by Jimmy Beaumont, best known for their 1959 "Since I Don't Have You" (popular covers by Chuck Jackson and Don McLean have helped keep the song in the public consciousness).
