Dannii Minogue

This marks the first release off her forthcoming 2005 album due out in March. Dannii's You Won't Forget About Me entered the UK Single Charts at #7, making it the 5th biggest club track in the UK of 2004. Lead singer Gwen Stefani has taken time to record a solo album, Love Angel Music Baby, which was released November 23, 2004. Flower Power, the original instrumental track by Flower Power was taken by Dannii and mated with original lyrics written by herself. Rock Steady Live, a DVD of one of the band's Long Beach concert, has also been released. With AATW, Dannii released the song You Won't Forget About Me. No Doubt also released a 2-CD 2-DVD box set titled Boombox. In late 2004, Dannii signed with Around The World Records, an independent Dance label. It included their first cover version, "It's My Life" which had originally been a hit for Talk Talk.

Dannii was married to Australian actor Julian McMahon in 1993 and after their divorce was engaged for a time in the late 1990s to Canadian Formula One driver Jacques Villeneuve. An album featuring all their singles was released in 2003. After the success of this album Dannii was back in to studio to work on a new album but due to problems within the Label and a 'management change' within London Records' structure, Dannii parted with London Records in a mutually agreed decision. Gwen's hairstyle and clothing have been copied by teenage girls worldwide, who are sometimes called "gwenabees". Neon Nights is Dannii's most successful album to date. Publicity for the group was mainly focused on platinum-blonde Gwen and her image which took inspiration from 1940s Hollywood and punk rock. Neon Nights was co-written and co-produced by Dannii. No Doubt's most recent studio album, Rock Steady, produced two hit Grammy winning singles, "Hey Baby" and "Underneath It All", with a notably more studio-influenced flavour.

The remix was a huge UK club-track. Consequently, they have excluded many fan-favorite songs in post-2000 concerts such as "Home Now", "Comforting Lie", "Dark Blue" and "Artificial Sweetner". I Begin To Wonder was also briefly released as a remix with the huge Dead Or Alive hit You Spin Me Round (Like A Record). The band has spoken unkindly of the album in more recent interviews for various reasons. This album, which entered the UK charts at #8, gave her 3 more UK Top 10 hits, including her biggest to date - I Begin To Wonder which reached #2. The album featured a darker tone and was more lyrically advanced than No Doubt's previous works. Her first album under this deal was 2003's Neon Nights. In 2000, the band released Return of Saturn, their highly anticipated followup to Tragic Kingdom.

Following the success of this, Dannii landed a 6 album deal with London Records. No Doubt included its song "New" on the soundtrack to the movie Go in 1999. The track hit #3 and this became Dannii's 13th top 40 hit in the UK. Tragic Kingdom has sold over 15 million copies worldwide. In 2001, Dannii recorded a song with Dutch dance act Riva called Who Do You Love Now?. The release of 1995's Tragic Kingdom and the single "Just a Girl" allowed the group to achieve mainstream commercial success. A second single, "Spiderwebs", was also successful, and their third single, "Don't Speak" (1996), which was written about the dissolution of Gwen and Tony Kanal's romantic relationship, was a number one hit for 21 weeks on the airplay chart of the Billboard Hot 100. She toured Australia in the sell out Grease: The Arena Spectacular and followed that with performances in the pop-orientated-opera Notre Dame de Paris in London's West End as well as later taking on the controversial Vagina Monologues. Their second album, The Beacon Street Collection, was released independently.

Now without a record deal, Dannii returned to acting and took on stage performances. No Doubt's self-titled first album was released in 1992 through Interscope, and featured the single "Trapped in a Box". Following the album's commercial failure, Dannii was dropped from Eternal Records. In 1994, Eric left because he didn't like the direction the band was headed and pursued an animating career on the cartoon TV series The Simpsons. However, Girl (like Get Into You before it) failed to take the UK by storm and entered the charts at #57. The band developed a live following, mainly in the band's home state of California. In 1997 Dannii landed a multi-million dollar contract with Eternal Records, who released the album Girl with her first top 5 hit All I Wanna Do. The group was first formed by Eric Stefani in Orange County, California in the city of Anaheim in December 1986 with John Spence as lead singer. Spence committed suicide in 1987, leaving Eric's younger sister Gwen Stefani as lead vocalist.

After the poor sales of Get Into You, Dannii parted company with RCA and Mushroom Records. No Doubt is an American alternative rock group whose music was initially influenced heavily by ska, punk and New Wave. The follow up album Get Into You (1993) didn't take the scene as successfully, with This Is It being her only top 10 hit from it. Everything in Time (2004). Dannii also filmed her first movie role in Secrets (1993). Boom Box (2003). Love and Kisses and... was remixed and edited for a UK release in 1991. The Singles 1992-2003 (2003).

Her debut album Love And Kisses, released in 1990, contained five top 40 hits including Love And Kisses, Success, Jump To The Beat and Baby Love. Rock Steady (2001). This led to Dannii to sign to Mushroom Records and enter into the pop charts. Return of Saturn (2000). From there she landed a role in the successful soap opera Home and Away. Tragic Kingdom (1995). Dannii began her career on the Australian talent show Young Talent Time. Beacon Street Collection (1995).

She is also the younger sister of Australian superstar Kylie Minogue. No Doubt (1992).
