Clint Black

. With Peterson's help Brightman became an international star. For his contribution to the recording industry, Clint Black has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 7080 Hollywood Blvd. Later, Brightman met her future producer and boyfriend, Frank Peterson. Equity produced its first album, Spend My Time by Clint Black, in March, 2004. This led the two to divorce in 1990, but relations have remained cordial. He helped form the record label, Equity Music Group, of which he is part owner and flagship artist. The theatre-goers refused to give Brightman the credit she felt she deserved, saying that the only reason for her success was that she was the wife of Lloyd Webber.

He and his wife have a daughter, Lily Pearl and live in Nashville, Tennessee. Fame as an actress came at a price, however. Black left RCA. She went on to star in a number of his musicals, including Evita, Aspects of Love, and The Phantom of the Opera which was written specifically for her. He remains one of the best-selling country singers of the 1990s. Lloyd Webber divorced his first wife to marry Brightman in 1984. His next albums, No Time to Kill, One Emotion and Nothin' But the Tailights were popular within the country music scene, but he has not been able to regain his stature in the mainstream market. She got the part.

"We Tell Ourselves", the first single, was a #1 hit. It was there that she met her future husband, composer Andrew Lloyd Webber. A royalty-lawsuit with Bill Ham was ongoing while Black recorded his third album, The Hard Way, which received mixed reviews but became almost as successful as the previous two. In 1981, Brightman tried out for a role in the then-new musical Cats. He began touring with Alabama and soon married actress Lisa Hartman. The group, who were somewhat more 'raunchy' than Pan's People, had a chart-topping disco hit in this year with "I Lost My Heart To A Starship Trooper", wherin she first discovered her vocal talents. Black's second album, Put Yourself in My Shoes, was a critical failure but still included several hit singles, most notably "Loving Blind" and "Where Are You Now". She later went on to lead Hot Gossip, a mixed dance act who appeared regularly on The Kenny Everett Video Show.

Killin' Time spawned three hits besides "A Better Man": "Killin' Time", "Nobody's Home" and "Walkin' Away". In 1978 she joined the dance group Pan's People. Clint Black swept the Country Music Association's awards in 1989, winning in six different categories. She often took ballet lessons and was an excellent student. Black's first single, "A Better Man", was a #1 hit, as was his debut album Killin' Time. Her ambition to be an artist was clear from a very early age. Soon, he and Hayden Nicholas began playing and writing songs together, soon signing with Bill Hamm (manager of ZZ Top, among others) at RCA Records. Brightman is the oldest of six children.

He dropped out of high school to play in his brother's band and played the local club circuit around Houston, Texas as he also ventured into songwriting.
