Anita Doth started working for Dutch radio station Radio 538, and Ray Slijngaard tried to start a solo career, which was not commercially successful. They split up in 1996 over conflicts over the future direction of 2 Unlimited: Ray Slijngaard wanted to move more towards rap, whereas Anita Doth wanted the group to become an R&B-inspired group. Three albums and a greatest hits compilation followed, but most people will always remember them for the enormous hit No Limit, which was a world-wide hit.
