Alexis Denisof

Alexis Denisof (born February 25, 1966) is an American actor best known for playing Wesley Wyndam-Pryce in the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its spin-off Angel.

Wesley's character was first introduced in Buffy the Vampire Slayer season 3 as Buffy Summers' replacement Watcher. After Buffy parted ways with the Watchers' Council, Wesley was out of a job. He later showed up on Angel, and became a regular character in that series from episode 11.

Although he is an American, born in Salisbury, Maryland, Alexis Denisof has lived most of his life in Britain. He has done many stage productions, including one with Anthony Stewart Head, who played Wesley's predecessor Rupert Giles on Buffy.

Alexis married Alyson Hannigan, who played Willow Rosenberg in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, on October 11, 2003.

He lives in Los Angeles, but also has a home in London.

In the early 1970s, he retired to concentrate on linguistics and philosophy, on which he lectured and published a number of books. He has done many stage productions, including one with Anthony Stewart Head, who played Wesley's predecessor Rupert Giles on Buffy. Worse, his American break ended before it began: he was signed to star with June Allyson in a remake of My Man Godfrey in 1956, but was replaced by David Niven when Fischer reportedly lost his memory during filming. Although he is an American, born in Salisbury, Maryland, Alexis Denisof has lived most of his life in Britain. While he enjoyed a great career, unlike countrymen Oskar Werner, Curd Jürgens, Maria Schell and Romy Schneider, he never made it internationally.
