50 Cent also launches a new Charitable Organziation called G-Unity, aimed at helping the less fortunate in the inner cities. He was appointed an officer of the Order of Canada in 2005. On March 9th, 2005, 50 Cent and The Game hold a press conference to announce their reconciliation. In 1991, the Government of France honored him with the title "Chevalier in the Order of Arts and Letters". The Game counters that he quit G-Unit before being kicked out. He has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6840 Hollywood Blvd. 50 Cent excised him from the group, citing The Game had been disloyal. Paul Anka was elected to the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1980.

As of March 2, 2005, G-Unit member, The Game (Jayceon Taylor), is no longer associtated with the group. Born to parents of Lebanese origin, in 1999 he returned to Lebanon for sell-out performances at the Forum de Beyrouth (The Beirut Forum). Newest members include R & B singer Olivia and west coast rapper Spider Loc. He returned to his home town to buy a part of the Ottawa Senators hockey team. Members of 50 Cent's G-Unit include: rappers Lloyd Banks (Christopher Lloyd), Young Buck (David Darnell Brown), and Tony Yayo (Melvin Benard). On September 6, 1990, he became a naturalized citizen of the United States. NB: Power of the Dollar has not been officially released as 50 Cent was dropped from the label before it was issued. However, the CD was finished and is found circling on the Internet. By the 1970s, Anka's career centered around adult contemporary and big-band standards, played regularly in Las Vegas.

His latest hit is "Candy Shop". After more than ten years without a hit record, in 1974 he teamed up with Odia Coates to record the number 1 hit, "Having My Baby." They would record two more duets that both made it into the Top 10. It was originally entitled "Valentine's Day Massacre", but after the album was pushed from a February release date to March, 50 Cent thought the title was inappropriate. From his movie work, he wrote and recorded his monster hit, "Lonely Boy." He then went on to become one of the first pop singers to perform at the Las Vegas casinos. On March 3, 2005, 50 released with his highly anticipated album "The Massacre". In the 1960s, Anka would begin acting in motion pictures as well as writing songs for them, most notably the theme for the hit movie The Longest Day. He guest starred on an episode of The Simpsons entitled, Pranksta Rap on February 13th, 2005. His talent went beyond singing, writing Buddy Holly's giant hit, "It Doesn't Matter Anymore," the theme for Johnny Carson's Tonight Show, Tom Jones' biggest hit record, "She's A Lady", and "My Way," Frank Sinatra's signature song.

Despite G-Unit member Tony Yayo's imprisonment on weapons charges and prior warrants, he will appear on the CD courtesy of several old verses already laid down prior to his arrest. Also in the plans are the G-Unit album tentatively titled Locked and Loaded to be released in September or November of 2003. Anka began singing as a child and, encouraged by his parents, at age 14 he recorded his first single, "I Confess." In 1957 he went to New York city where he auditioned for ABC, singing a lovestruck verse he had written to a former babysitter, Diana Ayoub. Although originally planning on releasing a new album before the end of 2003, 50 has decided to push the album release back to February of 2005. He teamed up with the all-star hip-hop production duo Track Masters who recognized 50 Cent's talent for incisive lyrics and signed him to Columbia Records in 1999. Despite learning all this, 50 saw that he wasn't going to get to where he wanted to go with JMJ, and left the label in search of someone who could help him achieve his dream of rap stardom. 50 Cent was intent on learning the rigors of producing palatable rap music: how to count bars, the basics of song structure and importance of good production. He met up with Jam Master Jay of Run-DMC fame and was signed to his label JMJ.

His mother was killed in a drug deal, he was a drug dealer himself, he has been shot nine times (nine bullets in one single shootout, not nine seperate incidents as some believe), he overcame enormous disadvantage, and he built a large rap empire in New York City before ever signing a major record deal. In this respect 50 Cent has a clear advantage over almost every other mainstream rapper. Interscope Records is very determined to sell 50 Cent as the "real deal", as the success of an artist in gangsta rap depends on his street credibility and reputation. In the opinion of many observers his continued success seems guaranteed by his large underground fanbase and the street credibility he has gained by appearing on almost every major mix tape sold in New York in the past few years.

He appeared on the 8 Mile soundtrack with an accompanying song and video that immediately went into heavy rotation on BET, MTV, and radio stations across the country. Eminem first encountered 50 Cent with MTV host Sway; Eminem apperently had not heard any of 50 Cent's performaces before seeing him in person. Once almost unknown outside his hometown of Jamaica, Queens, he became the first artist signed to Eminem's record label Shady Records who was scouted before knowing Eminem. "Fifty" (frequently pronounced "Fiddy" using African American Vernacular English) (born Curtis Jackson on July 6, 1976 in New York City, New York), is a popular African American hip hop artist.
